2010 Spring Paddle Day - Sand Harbor

Thank you for your interest in the Spring 2010 Paddle Day at Sand Harbor. Unfortunately, it looks like the weather is not cooperating for an outdoor event. As of Wednesday, the weather forecast for the northeast shore is cold temperatures and either snow or rain. Not great paddling weather! The Lake Tahoe Water Trail Committee decided to cancel the event on May 22 and will try to reschedule for a time in the fall.

Please keep checking back with the Lake Tahoe Water Trail for more information regarding our fall event.

If you are interested in supporting the LTWT, please consider joining our friends at Explore Tahoe for a kayak along the Water Trail on June 5
th in celebration of National Trails Day!  The event costs $15 and goes from 9am to noon, and all proceeds benefit the LTWT!  For more information, please visit

Last year, we hosted 86 paddlers at Sand Harbor on May 16 for another fun paddle day. Forty-five of those participants got a special treat with a guided tour of the historic Thunderbird Lodge!
