NV AIS Decal Requirement

Non-motorized boaters on Lake Tahoe are required to purchase a Nevada Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) decal.

The Nevada AIS decal ($6 for non-motorized) is required to be purchased and displayed on all Lake Tahoe watercraft capable of retaining water – including canoes and kayaks. The decal MUST be displayed on any craft that is launched at Lake Tahoe in California and paddled into Nevada. Paddling without the decal will be subject to enforcement. The NV AIS decal is separate from the Tahoe Keepers program.
