LTWT Association

The Lake Tahoe Water Trail Association (LTWTA) was formed in 2003 by a group of local volunteers committed to:

  • Representing paddler interests for new and improved public beach launch/landing sites,
  • Creating new water safety and educational wayfinding tools such as interactive maps and real-time weather tools, and
  • Respecting other lake users, and protecting the natural environment and wildlife.

Welcome to our home, and our favorite pastime.

We are a community of paddlers and advocates for paddler interests at Lake Tahoe, who support the development of designated launch/landing sites to educate paddlers about safety, resource conservation, and responsible public access.  We are Tahoe Keepers.  We clean, drain and dry our gear every time we paddle and move between water bodies to ensure we are not spreading Aquatic Invasive Species.

Join us on the Lake Tahoe Water Trail Facebook page for paddle news and updates throughout the year.

See you on the water, and don’t forget to always wear your life jacket, SUP leash and file a float plan!
